Prep 5 Tag Rugby v Pownall Hall School

Our first ever Tag Rugby fixture for Prep 5 was a very enjoyable afternoon of competitive sport. The games were 7-a-side and closely followed the new T1 Rugby initiative endorsed by the RFU, the national governing body for grassroots and elite rugby in England. The boys played with confidence and fluency, showcasing an excellent foundation of rugby skills. The recycling of possession was highly impressive, generating many phases of attack.

The evasion and side-stepping skills of our boys was reminiscent of JPR Williams in his pomp! Overall, both schools had an outstanding afternoon of rugby development and the request of more fixtures at the end of the games was testament to how much the children had enjoyed the occasion.
