Lady Barn House School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to asses their suitability to work with children.
Early Years Teaching Assistant
Lady Barn House School are seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced full-time EYFS Teaching Assistant to commence from 4 November 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter.
The post involves being the full-time support in Early Years. Each class at Lady Barn has around 24 children, with a roughly equal split of boys and girls.
The successful applicants must have an excellent rapport with young children, be committed to the highest standards of educational provision and be in sympathy with the aims and ethos of Lady Barn House School.
The hours of work for full-time Teaching Assistants are 37.5 hours per week from 8.15 to 4.15pm Monday to Friday (term-time only plus 8 days).
