Last weekend saw the whole gymnastics squad travel to Blackburn for the first competition of the season. It was a double-header with both the North-West Floor and Vault Team Championships and the North-West MIlano Group Competition titles up for grabs.

Despite the snow and the ice, the external exams and the post-holiday blues, the Lady Barn teams were ready and up for the challenge ahead. A special mention goes to Minahil, Emily, Lizzie, Olivia and Abdullah who were all competing for the first time for Lady Barn and took it all in their stride.

U11 Girls – Juliet, Charis, Priya, Danielle, Lucy - GOLD medals. NW Champions.

U11 Girls – Minahil, Yasmine, Emily, Lizzie, Iyla-Eve – SILVER medals

U11 Mixed – Izzy, Charlotte, Olivia, Dylan, Aryan – GOLD medals. NW Champions.

U11 Boys – Christian, Shay, Addullah, Kian – GOLD medals. NW Champions.

NW Milano Group Competition

U11 Girls – Juliet, Charlotte, Danielle, Priya – GOLD medals. NW Milano Team Champions.

U11 Girls – Lizzie, Charis, Iyla – Eve, Emily – SILVER medals.

U11 Mixed – Aryan, Dylan, Izzy, Lucy – GOLD medals. NW Milano Team Champions

Congratulations to all our Lady Barn teams! The results of this competition mean that Lady Barn have qualified for National Finals and hold the NW team titles. However, the really exceptional performances were from your parents who made the trek in quite dreadful conditions, in the early hours on a Saturday. Well-done everybody and thank you for your help and support.
