Wow, what an eggcellent half term for Early Years, learning all about life-cycles! We are very lucky to have hatched chicks again this year and  it has been exciting to learn first-hand all about their life-cycle journey.

We waited a total of 21 days until the chicks hatched, counting down each day, and looking eagerly at the incubator. It was such a lovely surprise to return to school after the weekend and find that one of the little chicks had hatched! We were then very lucky to catch another one hatching. “They are very cute and fluffy!”

There is so much excitement across the department, with all the EYFS children visiting the chicks, and the children are busy thinking of names for them too.

We are looking forward to caring for them and watching them grow.
