A glorious Friday afternoon of cricket was played by two closely-matched sides, Lady Barn and MGS. It was our first ever hard ball fixture, which brought huge excitement and anticipation. Wearing layers of protective equipment, hitting a 'corkie' and trying to run to the opposite end, is a challenge in itself, but one which the boys thoroughly enjoyed.

Lady Barn bowled first and took four wickets. MGS set a total of 242. This would be a challenging total, as our last pair of batters approached the crease, 1 run behind. A wicket conceded would result in minus five runs! However, Sunay and Josh played with confidence, to finish on 269 runs. The pupils were delighted and learned so much about competitive hard ball cricket. Fantastic player development!
