Last Friday, our Early Years and Infant Departments were treated to a visit from an author. Children in school will know her as Ms Brookes-Ward (Ms BW), our Drama and Spanish teacher. However, outside of school she wears another hat. She is Julie Brookes and she writes children's books!

Her story, Dotty's Lost Shoe and the Kangaroo was brought to life with the help of some laughing, leaping, boinging, bopping Lady Barn helpers. They listened carefully to the story and then re-enacted it wearing masks and hats. Julie said it was a great pleasure to share her book with the children. She mentioned they were some of the best she'd worked with!
