As part of our celebration of World Book Day, Lady Barn welcomed West End in Schools last week. Lauren, a professional actor and dancer, led the Lower Junior and Infant children through workshops that focused on creating and retelling a well-known story through dance and movement.

The children enjoyed the opportunity to use their physicality to express feelings, emotions and events in the story, and their final pieces were a culmination of their creative work. The Infants worked on Pinocchio and the Lower Juniors tackled The Butterfly Lion by Michael Morpurgo. The children’s enthusiasm and engagement in these workshops was wonderful to see.
