ISA National Champions
Back
The gymnastics teams have achieved remarkable success at the recent ISA National Championships. ISA school teams from all over the country travelled to Shrewsbury for this annual event and our boys' and girls' teams performed brilliantly, ultimately leading to triumph - 40 medals, 3 plaques, 1 cup and 1 shield!
For many of the boys’ team it was their first-time representing Lady Barn as gymnasts, and they did themselves proud. The U9 boys took silver medals and the more experienced U11 boys managed to secure gold medals and the title of National Champions. Standout performances from Daniel and Joshua saw these boys place first and third individually overall. Daniel retained his title of Individual National Champion.
The girls were up against some tough competition and displayed considerable courage and determination, raising their performance and earning top scores from the judges. The U9 girls secured team bronze and group silver whilst Lucy took an individual top spot and placed third overall. The U11 girls’ team faced the toughest competition and missed out on gold by just 0.2 in the team competition, taking silver in the group. Danielle took individual sixth position with superb performances on all four pieces.
Thank you to all who made the journey to Shrewsbury in support of the gymnasts. It was a pleasure to have spent the hottest day of the year trapped in a sports hall with you all!
