This week for twenty-five magical minutes, the Prep 5 and 6 Limelighters group transformed the Drama Studio into the streets of Verona to perform one of Shakespeare’s most beautiful and heart-rending plays: Romeo and Juliet. Our abridged version had all the highlights and lowlights of the original with music that even included a song by Taylor Swift, the soundtrack to a dance choreographed by the children themselves. Their commitment and hard work were fully realised as we watched a story of woe joyously performed by a talented troupe of players.
