Our first activity was a football fixture against Queen Ethelburga's School in York. We had four squads who took on a mixture of Year 5, 6 and 7 QE pupils. The Lady Barn pupils thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and played some excellent football, achieving three wins out of four!

We then had a fun swimming session and enjoyed our provided packed lunch. The hospitality we received at Queen Ethelburga's was outstanding.

Next, we travelled to the LNER Stadium to watch a live National League football fixture - York City FC v Wealdstone FC. The children fully got behind the home side, with lots of singing and encouragement. We also had a visit to the club shop.

We returned home early evening, exhausted but full of happy memories of an action-packed day in Yorkshire.
