Lady Barn celebrate Valentine’s Day!💕
Last Friday, for Valentine’s Day, Prep 5 created 'letters to myself'. They made beautiful hearts with positive affirmations about themselves and letters on the back. They have been focusing on kindness and self-worth. It was a really powerful activity and enabled the children to remember why they are so special!🥰

This week, we're continuing to celebrate Children's Mental Health Awareness Week with a special assembly led by Mr Slade. 🙌 The message was powerful: Know yourself, grow yourself! 💫 A healthy mind can help in so many ways.
Be present, be creative, be ready to learn, be aware, and be receptive. 🌱
💡 Positive steps to happiness:
Value yourself

Keep in touch with your friends
Spend time with the people you care for
Notice the world around you
Be thankful
And most importantly... HAVE FUN! 🎉
We particularly loved the 5 steps a little one gave to Mr Slade, which are as follows: 1️⃣ Go play 2️⃣ Have an ice lolly 3️⃣ Make friends 4️⃣ Love everything 5️⃣ Get a dog 🐶

The Charity Council kindly requests a minimum donation of £2 (or more) from those who wish to participate. Pupils and staff are invited to wear sensible clothing that makes them happy! Whether it’s embracing cultural heritage, showing sporting passions, or rocking a favorite item of clothing, let’s express ourselves and take care of our minds! 💛💙

Last week, as part of National Storytelling Week, some of our Prep 4 and 5 pupils embarked on a special trip to Abney Court Care Home. 🏡✨
Accompanied by Mrs Beer, Mr Slade, and Miss Evans, the children had the wonderful opportunity to share their creative, handwritten stories with the residents. It was an incredibly wholesome experience, bringing smiles and laughter all around. What a beautiful way to connect across generations through the magic of storytelling! 📖💖
We can't wait to visit the residents again later in the year.

🚦 Prep 2 Step Outside! 🚶♀️🚶♂️
A huge THANK YOU to Andy and Andy from Stockport Council for taking our Prep 2 children out across 3 mornings to teach them all about road safety🛑
The message was clear: STOP, LOOK, LISTEN, and THINK before stepping over the danger line into the road. Our little ones did an amazing job crossing the road on their own, spotting hazards, and staying vigilant for moving traffic! 👀🚗
As a fun treat, they even got stickers and a colouring book to take home! 🎨✨
